• Research assistants' representative in the faculty committee "quality assurance in teaching" (QSL) at TU Dortmund University (2011 - 2014)
• Initiator and mentor of the GI university group at Kassel University (2008 - 2011)
• Member of appointments committee assistant professorship for theoretical computer science at Kassel University (2008 - 2009)
• Member of student parliament at Darmstadt University of Technology, amongst others chairman and repeated member in the auditing committee, and member of the parliament’s chair as secretary (1999 - 2004)
